Tech Articles: 5 Quick Guides with SEO elements

Technology articles are fun to write, but they can also be brain-numbing! In this project, I was tasked to provide shallow and deep links within the short article and use the keyword given. Of course, I had to rise up to the challenge!

Tweaking with the Clone Tool

One of the most intriguing aspects that I have discovered in my Photoshop designs is the clone tool. The clone tool is a gem; however, if you have not perfected wielding it, it can be a source of frustration too. For example, when you click on a sample image patch, the clone tool either duplicates it or simply produces its own patch.

So how do you know the range of the clone tool's capability? It can be tricky, but working with the right layer is the key. Sometimes you may just be clicking on a particular layer and your clone tool catches only those attributes. Another tip is to set the tool on Aligned option to make sure that your first reference point will not be the same throughout the design.

Sygate: Firewall First Runner-Up

According to Information Week (which is also based on user reviews) the second most popular firewall security software being used all over the world is Sygate. It got 27% of the vote, while Zone Alarm got 43% and the rest by lesser percentages. Users rave on Sygate because it is highly functional and user-friendly. Then it is also possible to download it as freeware. Sygate Firewall also has a history of excellent maintenance.

Perhaps one of the best reasons why people choose Sygate is because it is easy enough to configure. Most software are so technical that they tend to turn off the users. With Sygate, it has been a proven fact that understanding customers is the best way to be one of the best firewall software around.

Software Reviews: Counter Strike, Style Master ver. 3.5, PicaLoader and more!

Counter Strike MSN Display Pictures - ver. 1.0

Although Counter Strike games are has-beens (anyone playing them yet?), the game has somehow struck a chord among all online gamers and now the image of the game characters have proliferated in software such as the CS MSN Display Pictures. However, I keep thinking that the characters aren't exactly meant to be "identified", so why bother with the avatars? Again, there are still great fans of the game out there, and I'm sure as hell this package is going to be a hit with them. But we'd be happier MSN Display Pictures had been a lot more creative and put more advanced game characters in the package, such as the X-Men.

Style Master - ver. 3.5

There are already many versions of this software that are out in the markt and being exploited by cascading style sheet programmers. This is a wonderful tool that facilitates web design using a Mac-like interface. Rather ingenious, and at a moderately-priced $60, not a bad investment at all.

Style Master version 3.5 is just one of the many software today that makes even designing with cascading style sheets an easy task. Beginners will be pleased at the way things have been laid for them so they could modify their website the WYSIWYG way, and advanced programmers will find it even easier to put into their websites the designs they had envisioned in their heads. Overall, this is a cool software and a must-have for all CSS programmers.

Advanced StartUp Supervisor - ver. 1.1

For a program that does a lot of things in one package, the Advanced Startup Supervisor is quite powerful. However, because it lacks some rather unique features, it's an average program altogether, missing on some aspects but still makes up for its versatile functions.

What it does is simply take away the mess in your computer such as spyware or adware that appears in the start-up, while simultaneously letting you control which programs will run. This is a wacky software that automates your start-up applications according to what you put in the list. It also comes with a demo version so check it out!

PicaLoader - ver. 1.4.9

This picture loading software is definitely the mother of all picture loading softwares -- it has advanced features that rock! You can practically leave the job of searching, downloading, organizing, checking for image duplicates, browsing, and a host of other features to its highly advanced functipns. I recommend this to all photographers and digital artists who need heaps of photo downaloads for their projects.

Perhaps my favorite feature is the fact that even if it downloads image files, your computer is secure from virus and destructive scripts that come attached to thes files. Plus, the filters allow only for specific image file attributes to get downloaded, so it ends up as a really organized collection of pics. A high score for this one.

ZoomChat - ver. 4.4.0.1

This software lets you chat with your friends even direct from a website where it's been installed. I can't even count the number of neat stuff you can find in this software: from the separate source and receiver video capability to the ability to work even in firewall and proxies. It runs fast even on dial-up connection!

This software is pretty easy to install, it's free, and it's a small file to begin with. It has advanced features such as face detector and noise silence, among other things, so that it fares well when compared to other video communication programs in the market. Of course, like all free downloads, it may come with its own malware so beware of this.

iNetQuery - ver. 2005

The great concept of this software is that it's useful in most domain hosts website/domain maintencance functions. For instance, all network connections are monitored and if there's any malicious activity going on, this is always denied. It comes with a report of the details of the status of the domain names in the network. Really practicable for domain hosts so they ought to check this out.

If you can see from the screenshot how easy it is to keep track of these domains, then you'll realize how this software is so handy in this type of online procedure. It's also freeware, so rejoice! YOu can try this out to see if it's compatible with your system, otherwise, there's always a choice not to use it.

ECrawl - ver. 2.03

The price of this software is amazing! But if your business thrives in e-mail marketing, this is quite a worthwhile investment because this software virtually collects millions of e-mail addresses in the web for you in a matter of hours. Sure, there are other mail crawling softwares out there that do the same job, but if you were to use ECrawl, you'll save lots of time that would have otherwise been used for sending the e-mails to the millions of recipients.

A word of caution for those who are buying this software -- you become an agent for spamming so it's basically a matter of discrimination on your business' part to employ this. The price of this software speaks for its gargantuan capability; at the same time, you can still avail of the demo version to see how far it will take you.

Volleyball Manager - ver. 2.3.1

Tournaments take time to be planned, organized, and documented. The use of softwaer takes a little of that burden away and allows the tournament managers to do other tasks that are more important for the implementation of these games. Volleyball tourneys are no exception. This software allows the managers to schedule their games to better inform the visitors and participants.

This is not a free software but once it's been purchased it will serve as a great investment that the league managers can use in the future. I'd say this is an ace program at reasonable price.

Electronics SEO Article: Quick Guide to Buying Blu Ray Burners

Quick Guide to Buying Blu Ray Burners

keywords: Blu ray burners

Blu ray burners come in all shapes and sizes. To many movie and music enthusiasts, probably the second best reason why they are buying anything related to Blu ray is its ability to store enormous data in a disc the same size as the DVD. To be able to "burn" files from a PC to a Blu ray disc is heaven -- with so much storage capacity, you can use a single disc in lieu of several DVDs or CDs.

When it comes to hardware, blu ray burners have a great selection. Prices range from $200 to $1000. However, with the huge demand on manufacturers overseas, blu ray burners are bound to get cheaper in time. Along with this, we can expect that from a burning speed of 4x, it will continue to increase with the fastest brand around burning at 8x.

Most of this demand comes from the movie industry, video professionals, and high definition video and audio enthusiasts. Because Hollywood movies have taken the great leap towards high definition films, movie fans who wish to keep up with the trend in their own home theaters look towards blue ray burners as the perfect solution. By simply using the ordinary high-spec PC, they can rip files from old discs to a Blu ray disc and experience the best that video technology has to offer.

There are a lot more reasons why Blu-ray burners are becoming a big hit to video aficionados. Back when the Blu-ray disc format was still being finalized, the discs needed to be enclosed in special cartridges to prevent from scratching, contamination, and other possibilities of damage. When TDK developed a special hard coating for Blu-ray discs, the latter have become virtually indestructible. Because of this, the discs can last up to 15 years.

For those who are worried about unauthorized replication of content, the Blu-ray discs are equipped with copy protection capability. Blu ray burners also accept almost all types of video and audio format for flexible data writing.

Software for burning recordable or rewritable Blu ray discs are readily available. Some companies even offer free trials or just plain "free" software that you can download online. If you are a first time user of Blu ray burners, the best software may take a while to find. It pays to take advantage of free trials as well as ask around for someone who might have some knowledge and advice.

Sample Product Reviews: Newegg, Optics Planet and More!

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

I have visited Newegg.com several times and know that they have a lot in their selection to choose from. As for camera tripods, the catalog is pretty decent. They have the photo, the specs, the reviews, the price, and the shipping cost. A great way to begin is to click on my price range on the left side of the screen. Also, does it matter what brand? That’s something you gotta figure out. Since they’re mainly selling different brands, all you can do is do a comparison check on the website itself. It takes a little time, but you’ll find what you need. And so will I.

Labels:

Benro.com is the ultimate place for professionals looking for a high end tripod that will probably last forever. Everything you need to know about a particular tripod is here: Features, Specs, Items included, Optional heads, and accessories. Benro is very detailed about their tripods. Unfortunately, you don’t know how much they’re gonna cost you unless you contact the dealer that is nearest to your location. You can, of course, do a comparison check online when you get a chance. Google “Benro Tripod” if you will.

I didn’t know PC World actually sells camera tripods until I checked in the Photography section. They let you compare prices with other brands here. Unlike camera specialty stores, they don’t have very many selections, although they do have a few products in the photography catalog that you may not find elsewhere. You can basically filter the camera tripod that fits your budget by clicking the Price Range link. If you look more closely, you will get an idea of what you’re buying based on reviews, but I cannot find the Specs despite the existing link. Weird??

It’s nice to know that before you buy a product at Optics Planet, you can pretty much figure out whether it’s perfect for you or not. They have a section devoted entirely to product reviews. I’m telling you, they have A LOT more to sell than elsewhere when it comes to vision equipment. They have telescopes, rifle scopes, night vision equipment and even prescription glasses. But since I’m looking for a camera tripod, I’m faced with tremendous choices based by brand. Which is best? It’s funny how their price range can be anything from $5 to $735! I think I’ll stick with the price I can handle.

Yahoo! Voices, formerly Associated Content (AC), was a division of Yahoo! that focused on online publishing. Yahoo! Voices distributed a large variety of writing through its website and content partners, including Yahoo! News. In early December 2011, its owners Yahoo! announced a major shakeup involving the introduction of a new service, Yahoo! Voices, which would replace the Associated Content site and take on the bulk of its content, while some 75,000 items would be retired under the new site's more stringent content submission rules.
