The Wichita Falls Police Impound is hosting an auction located at 305 Sunset on February 28th at 10:00 a.m. Viewing and registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. when gates open. There are approximately 50 vehicles available for bidding.
Buyers must have a valid I.D. in order to bid on any vehicle and purchased vehicles must be picked up by 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2009. Forms of payment accepted are pre-approved checks and cash.

WHCS Provenance Historic Homes Tour
Wichita County Heritage Society (WCHS) Presents the Ninth Annual Provenance Historic Homes Tour
Saturday, April 4, 2009 – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Highlighting Six Homes in Country Club Estates
Wichita Falls, Texas
History will once again be unveiled on April 4th at the Wichita County Heritage Society’s Ninth Annual Historic Homes Tour. Six grand houses built over 50 years ago with a variety of captivating architectural styles and charming gardens will be highlighted. A trolley will run a circular route to each house and begins at the Woman’s Forum located at 2120 Speedway. This is a great opportunity to see the history of Wichita Falls and support the preservation, restoration, and display of historic landmarks of Wichita County.
Homes on the 2009 Tour:
Built in 1939, are two houses, one at 2025 Downing owned by Lynn and Ed Moran and one owned by Ann and Bob Osborne at 3100 Harrison. 1940 is represented by Leslie and John Bradley’s home at 2024 Downing. Also showcased are three houses built in the 1950s, Linda and Lyn Reinhardt at 3000 Harrison built in 1955; Nan and Dale Harvey 2904 Harrison, 1956; and Libby and Paul Clark, 2101 Miramar in 1950.
